Separating fact from fiction

Our comics are all fictional stories, often taking place in a fictional world where the earth has been divided by a certain character into five versions of itself. The fiction is obvious. These comics are for entertainment, for fun, but they do still hold messages for the reader to learn from, including one message that can change your life.

Stepping away from the comics, the fiction, and into the real world, the message that we want to get across more than any other is the very real need you have, just like every other person in this world.

The Question

Let's start with a question...
Do you know what death is? According to the book of Romans, it is our wages. That is to say, death is something we've earned.
At some point, your life will come to an end, and you will die. When that time comes, you will stand before God and give an account of your life, and He will make a judgement, as in a court of law. He will give the death sentence to those found guilty. This means the death here isn't it, there's a second death for those found guilty of breaking the law.

Here is the question: Are you guilty? This is a question of morality.

God has given us a means to test and know for ourselves where we stand with Him before we die. It is called the moral law.

Let's look at the law, and at how well you've kept it.

Have you ever told a lie? If yes, what does that make you?
If you ever killed a person, one person, you would be a murderer. Likewise, if you ever told a lie, one lie, you would be a liar.

Have you ever taken something that wasn't yours without permission? That would make you a thief.

Have you looked with lust? That isn't to say you noticed beauty, noticing isn't lusting, we're talking about what you do in your mind. To think about someone or something in a sexual way is to lust, and doing so would make you an adulterer at heart.

We've only scratched the surface, there are even more things we could go over to test you, but the standard of good is moral perfection. Failing to keep one of these commands would mean you are not a good person, but that you are guilty, as you have sinned against God.

You may try to do good things, but that's what you should have been doing from the beginning. You can't make up for a crime you're guilty of by saying you've also done good things. A righteous judge will see to the punishment of a guilty criminal. There is only one way out once found guilty, and that is if someone else pays your fine, then the judge can legally let you go.

This is where Jesus Christ comes in, but who is Jesus? How does what he did over 2,000 years ago have any impact on your life today?

God

Jesus is the Son of God, fully man, and fully God Himself at the same time. He lived a perfect life, yet He took on your punishment by dying on a cross. He was confirmed dead, placed in a tomb, but He rose from the dead three days later, defeating death. He offers a free gift, that if you repent, that is to turn away from your sins, and put your trust in Him to cover the price of them, He will give you everlasting life in heaven when you die. That is it.

You're guilty, but the debt has been paid, you need only receive it before you die. If you repent and trust in Jesus as your Lord and savior, He will send God the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, and the Holy Spirit will begin changing your heart to desire that which is good.

You can read God's Word for yourself and see. Will you trust Him? There is no other way to heaven, you will stand before God.

We don't get anything from your salvation, it's for you. We're sharing this here because it matters.

You matter.

You don't have take our word for it, though, see what the Holy Bible has to say.

According to the Bible

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

-Romans 6:23

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

-Romans 10:9

"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."
-2 Timothy 2:19

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

-John 1:1-3

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
-John 3:16‭-‬19, KJV
