Prologue
DAY 1
Ones and zeroes warning of an error flew past him. He reached out, but there was nothing to take hold of as he fell into this digital void.
"Argh!" He exclaimed as the left side of his face was briefly shocked. There was a moment of darkness and silence before he suddenly hit the floor. Somehow this less than graceful landing wasn't painful, despite falling flat on his stomach. He sat himself up as he swept his long overcoat back off his lap with his matching black gloves, all as he looked around this shiny interior with its blue hue. He slowly rose to his feet with a hand on his chest, taking in a deep breath. He walked out from the room into a larger area.
"Hello?" he called. He heard nothing but the buzz from the terminal, which stood center of this sizable place. He reached up to his right ear, tapping around with his fingertips, but what he was reaching for wasn't there.
"Open menu," he ordered, glancing around. "Open menu!" he commanded again, his brow furrowing. "Exit!" he yelled, but to no avail.
He looked around the lobby, leaning cautiously around the corner of each entryway as he passed by. The exit to this hub was also vacant, and the equipment inside was unresponsive, though he tapped and pushed on things as he went. He circled back to the room he first landed in. There was a strange sort of gray static coming out from one of the walls. His hand waved right through it. Looking up at the ceiling, there was a hole with a green light emanating from it, contrasting against the otherwise blue interior. He stared at it, his right hand slowly reaching toward the left side of his face, his index finger gently rubbing a green scratch under his eye as it reached it. The scratch glowed against his pale skin with a light that matched the one above, and the green was even brighter than his emerald-colored eyes.
Am I the only one here? He thought to himself. Where are...?
